A voluntary community association in Qalansawe

Islamic Association for Outreach and Guidance — Qalansawe
We lend a hand to the people of Qalansawe — outreach, guidance, and help where we can.
About
Neighbours from the town, serving the town
We are a group of people from Qalansawe who came together, as volunteers, to serve our town: we help with outreach and guidance, stand beside families and young people, and contribute to charitable work as much as we can.
We are not an official body, we do not speak for anyone, and we issue no rulings. What we have is our time and effort, and a sincere wish that a neighbour finds help in a neighbour.
We do not issue fatwas, we do not regulate, and we do not preside — we simply help.

Programs
What we do, in plain words
Outreach
We visit, we remind, and we make what benefits people — in faith and in daily life — simple and clear: gently, and without condescension.
Guidance & listening sessions
We listen to anyone going through hardship at home or within themselves, and accompany them in confidence and with respect. These are sessions of listening and counsel — not judgement.
Talks & gatherings
Open talks and lessons that people choose from as suits them — in the mosque, in homes, and in the neighbourhood square.
Community work
We arrange help where it is needed: we stand with families in difficulty, and support days that bring the neighbourhood together for good.
Athar Youth Group
Youthful energy, in the right place
“Athar” is a youth group from Qalansawe whose aim is that a young person finds worthwhile ways to fill their time: sport, gathering, and volunteer work that leaves a good mark — an athar — on the town.
Among the highlights that bring us together is the Makarim al-Akhlaq (Noble Character) football league at the Northern Stadium — a sport we play, and a character we encourage in one another: that a player’s conduct off the pitch is finer than their goal on it.

Athar Platform
University scholarships, from an enduring endowment
The Athar Platform opens a door for Qalansawe’s students toward university through scholarships funded by an endowment (waqf) whose principal endures while its returns are spent — a giving that does not stop when the giver does.
The platform is an independent entity that we support and connect students to. For the scholarship terms and how to apply, please follow the platform directly.

Give
Your giving endures, like a well by the road
The old traveller would dig a well by the road, and those who came after drank from it for years. An endowment is like that: its principal endures and its benefit flows — into a student’s scholarship, a family’s relief, a lesson whose door is opened.
Your donation is a trust. We take only what is needed, spend it where it belongs, and show you whenever you wish. We ask no more than necessary, and spend it on nothing but what it was raised for.
